It is a normal process for us to pass gas. Sometimes it may come out in unconventional times, nonetheless passing gas is good for our body. Passing gas 15-20 times a day is normal as it is part of the digestion process our body goes through. However, during digestion if our body is not able to heave the built-up gas and it gets trapped in our intestines, we will start to feel pain and it may lead to prolonged stomach discomfort.

Some of the main causes for over accumulation of gas in our body can be caused by:

  • Eating too much
  • Drinking liquid with air bubbles
  • gum chewing
  • smoking tobacco
  • eating food that creates gas (beans, fried food item e.t.c)

Not able to get relief from gas can cause discomfort, so taking care of the gas issues in early stage is always the best thing to do. Some of the home remedy for gas relief are:

  • drinking lime water
  • drinking black salt water
  • Peppermint tea
  • Chamomile tea
  • Cloves
  • Physical exercise

If the home remedy does not work and your gas problem is making your life difficult, it is always good to consult your doctor.

We all know the famous proverb, “Precaution is better than Cure”. So instead of looking for solution for gas problem after the problem is already there, it’s always best to limiting consumption of food items that creates excess gas in our body. Main culprit for excess gas is over eating.

So lets try to eat the right amount so our body will act right. 😊
